Kirtan with Arjun & Astrud

Join us for a beautiful evening of devotional chanting led by Astrud & Arjun.

Astrud is a celebrated kirtan wallah currently living in Los Angeles. She has been sharing the art and practice of kirtan since 2000, starting in NYC.

Astrud has toured throughout the U.S. and Europe, sharing her passion for Mantra Meditation and Bhakti Yoga.

She leads annual retreats to India and teaches Bhakti Yoga to teachers in training around the U.S. and is currently working on her second album.

Arjun Bruggeman, world percussionist, drummer, composer and session recording artist, is highly acclaimed for his unique hybrid of East-meets-West rhythms. He brings two decades of experience as a practitioner of Eastern and Western spiritual practices to his playing, along with 16 years' touring as a tabla player with Krishna Das. He's collaborated with artists including David Darling, Belinda Carlisle, Robert Bly, Snatam Kaur, Jason Mraz, Mark Egan, Jerry Marotta and   “John Densmore and Robby Krieger” of The Doors. He's currently at work in the studio with John Densmore for a full length album.
